art & craft work
Today, I woke up early to enjoy my 'Totally Spies" show. I had pancake with cheese for breakfast.I did some great art & craft work. I created an "Underwater World". There were various fishes, sea turtle, corals and seabed stones. I made it very colourful like a fantasy place. My mum also helped me to improve the work. Actually, this is to be given to my daddy next week on his birthday.Tomorrow, I will be baking muffins together with Aunty Yati. She is very good with sewing and baking. She is a diligent helper at home.I look forward to the baking session.By the way, my sister Joy is sleeping now. She is still not fully well. Her antibiotics upsets her stomach. Poor thing! Wish that she will recover soon!

charlotte's ending
Yesterday, my mum and I finished reading 'Charlotte's Web'.
Charlotte died in the end from old age and overly tired, probably from spinning the web for Wilbur (the pig). Charlotte put in great effort and strength to spin 4 words in the web, at different time, to make the farmpeople think that Wilbur is an unusual pig, so that they will not kill him for the meat.
The 4 words are : "some pig", "terrific", "radiant" and "humble".
actually, Charlotte had laid 514 eggs waiting to be hatched in spring time. But she died even before they were born. Wilbur missed her spider friend very much and decided to repay her kindness by begging the rat to take the 'egg sac' from the tall ceiling corner, and Wilbur quietly smuggled it back to the barn. In the egg sac, there were all the unhatched spiders.
In return, Wilbur must give up all the food to the rat, and he will only take the leftovers after the rat had eaten.
From this story, I was very touched by the friendship between the 2 animals, Wilbur (pig) and Charlotte (spider). Especially for Charlotte, she was such a loyal friend and kept her promise to the save the pig to the end. Even though she was very exhausted from spinning the words in the web, she never gave up. The last scene of her dying made both my mum and me cry......
I will surely read this wonderful book again when I have the time.

haircut
i had a hair trim today together with joy.
aunty alice said that we are both pretty. she cracked a lot of jokes while cutting my hair. she flipped my fringe to one side and said it looked sexy. i was amused and joy laughed together with me!
after that, we went to parkway parade for shopping hoping to find a birthday gift for my dear dad. i ended up buying a nice black shorts. joy found the same design too short for her.
joy was looking for bra. too bad, the one that she liked there was none of her size.
when i came back home, i was surprised to see zhiyan's tag on my blog. she said that she had read 'charlotte's web' 3 times and cried many times. actually, i found the story very touching too. i am glad that mummy had bought this book for me.

charlotte's web
i am reading a book on 'charlotte's web' with my mummy.
i like this book's storyline. it talked about a pig named wilbur - the pet of a little girl called fern. wilbur was sold to fern's uncle and lived in a farm. wilbur made a friend named charlotte, an intelligient spider which spins very good web to trap insects.
one day, the sheep told wilbur to watch out because the owner may kill him and sell him in the market. wilbur got worried. however, his sincere friend, charlotte comforted him and agreed to think of a great plan to save him.
i am still halfway reading the book. i felt touched by the friendship between the pig and the spider. someone said that the spider lost his life at the end. i don't know how that happened but i will continue to read and find out the truths.
by the way, when i bought the book, there was a free 'web' necklace given to me. i am wearing it now.
i will let you know more about the story soon.

the little red hen drama
hello, i watched the 'little red hen' play on wednesday. i enjoyed tremendously.
the story is about a little red hen which has 3 friends. they are the cat, the goose and rat. they promised to help her to do any tasks, in order to prove to the farmer that they are the best animals in the farm.
one day, the red hen found a seed and decided to plant it. she approached the farm animals for help. nobody was interested and failed to keep their promises. the red hen was upset. she planted the seed herself and watched the seeding plant grow each day.
halfway, the greedy rat asked the hen when it would be ready for the animals to eat. the hen said,"it has not even grown yet. don't even think about it, greedy rat!"
when harvest came, the hen sought help again but no one was willing to. the cat told the other animals,"we have not kept our promises. now, the red hen is unhappy!"
in the end, the red hen harvested the grains all by herself. then, it was made into a delicious bread. this time round, she asked,"who could finish the bread for me?" everybody responded,"me, me, me!"
the little red hen said,"since you did not help me, you can't even have a little piece!" she walked away in pride leaving the animals hungry.
moral of the story: be helpful and keep your promise so that you can have a share of the reward.

tomorrow's outing
i am excited. tomorrow, my school will bring us to a theatre to watch a play titled "little red hen".
my friends and i have decided to quietly 'sneaked in' some tidbits to the theatre to eat. i hope the teacher will not catch us.
today, i bought 3 story books from my school book fair.
1. "joy the summer vacation fairy" - rainbow magic series
2. "spider man" - the boys in my class teased me for reading a boy's book. i told them it was for
my mum. my mum wants me to read different types of books so that i will not have too
much fairy fantasy.
3. "charlotte's web" - my mum told me this is an award-winning book. this will be our bedtime
story
i am really keen to start reading the books. it is so much more fun than doing homework.

outing
yesterday, i went to aunty lai fun's house which is near joy's school.
she has a daughter in secondary 1. her name is ashley. ashley is a shy girl. she owns rabbits and hamster as pets. she let us wear a glove before carrying the hamster. joy did it 1st. she was brave. mum was the 2nd to try. she was so nervous that she 'threw' the hamster out of her palm. poor hamster - commit suicide!
i plucked up my courage to try to hold the hamster - of course with the protection of the glove. i made it with the help of ashley. (will try to put the pics on the blog soon).
then we went to a nearby playground and climbed the rock. it was quite fun. i also brought along my scooter. it began to drizzle a little.
we had lunch at a cafe. the spaghetti was lousy but the fries were okay. it was an expensive lunch.
coming home, i felt so bored. no chance to go downstairs playground because of the rain.
boring holiday......but i'm going out with ting and ling today. waiting for them to step into my hosue. that should be more fun.

next week holiday - yahoo!
yay yay - it's holiday today.
i went for my chess lesson this morning and had quite a bit of fun. my good friend, andrea, chased after a boy (nicholas) that she secretly admires and loves. this is our secret and not to be told to any classmates.
after the lesson, i realised that my school had set up many game booths. it seems that there is a carnival going on. mum checked with the person-in-charge and we learnt that there is a 4-day camp comin up in the school. overnight, you know?
i'm really keen. but the problem is i have to look for a partner to go with me. i'm thinking of misaki but has to approach her. this camp is for outsiders as well.
i really hope that i can participate so that i will not feel so bored at home.

tooth fillings
i hv 2 fillings done in 1 milk teeth. how sad!
the 1st filling done last yr in sh by my lousy dental nurse. it came out shortly and my mum took me to a better dentist at parkway parade. the drilling and cleaning process was not very pleasant, but i endured with the discomfort.
but just some time ago, my 2nd filling also DROPPED OFF when i was halfway in my computer games. it was so funny right?
now the 'cavity' is giving me a little uncomfortable feeling. my mum will take me to the 2nd dentist soon to get the problem solved. otherwise, i will not be able to chew my food well.
(by the way, my mum told me that briliana's front tooth has already dropped. wonder when my turn will come. i am sure i will look kind of weird. hopefully i don't have to ask santa claus for my 2 front teeth.)
